JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai Fengxian

JW Marriott Hotel is a hotel located in the seaside district of Fengxian in Shanghai, China. The building covers 52000 square meters and holds 265 guest rooms and suites. The facilities include 1800 square meters of meeting space, a 900 square meter banquet hall, three restaurants, a bar, a spa, a children's activity centre and an executive lounge. The interior is made of marble, timber, metal, stainless steel, glass and carved wood. Curved forms and shades of sable and blue recall the nearby lake and sea.

Science is O2

Science is O2 is a series of school science textbooks for elementary, middle and high school students. Each cover carries a key-shaped QR code that links to textbook information, promotions and science videos. Further QR codes are placed next to the main elements inside the books, giving access to experiment videos and extra questions. Matte coating, epoxy graphics and glossy finishes create a vivid, semi three-dimensional effect. The corners are rounded for safer handling, and the digital links extend learning beyond the printed page.

Crystal Opera House

The Crystal Opera House is the designer's tribute to classical architecture and art. The giant crystal hoisting device is a structural whole, using millions of crystal, re-engraving the visual features of the classical enclosed box with crystal, a very modern material. The device has tried many impossible shapes and arrangements, done a lot of research and development and 3D models, and explored more breakthroughs in the shape and limitations of the crystal suspension device. To convey the strong artistic atmosphere of the traditional classical opera house to the public.

Intelligent Awareness System

Intelligent Awareness System is a cloud based platform for water pollution monitoring. Sensors placed in different regions send readings continuously, so water quality changes can be followed in real time. The platform combines live data, historical records, statistical analysis, warning management and meteorological information. Results are shown as two dimensional and three dimensional graphs, data tables and custom reports. An alert is sent when a measured value exceeds a guideline, which helps relevant departments locate pollution sources quickly and reduce harm.

Year of Tiger

Year of Tiger is a drone light show created for the Taiwan Lantern Festival in Kaohsiung City. The show used 1,500 lightweight drones, flying between 30 and 204 meters above the Love River Bay. The reflection of the lights on the water linked the sky and the river into one image. The animated content combined Taiwanese folklore, history, geography, marine imagery, culture and sport, shown in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms. One rehearsal and seven evening performances were held in February 2022.

Rixing Go Digital

Rixing is the world's last and only type foundry that's still making traditional Chinese letterpress. As part of Taiwan's cultural heritage and an ambitious career rather than a for-profit business, Rixing dedicates itself to conveying cultural values of craftsmanship and aesthetics of letterpress to all. This project aims at helping Rixing deliver its value proposition by implementing a self-guided service for visitors to learn about the history, artefacts, techniques, and commodities of letterpress on their own, leaving staff more time to better serve their customers.
