Changi Terminal 2
Changi Terminal 2 is an airport interior covering 120000 square meters across three levels in Singapore. The existing terminal building was completely redesigned to focus on the traveler experience and on connections to natural elements. The interior is arranged as a journey across an indoor landscape of minerals, water features and vegetation in varied forms and densities. Artisanal materials made by small craft workshops are used throughout. Technology is largely concealed to keep natural elements visible and to provide a calm environment.
Changi Terminal 2 New Airport Langage by Basile Boiffils was recognized as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Changi Terminal 2 New Airport Langage was awarded the Platinum A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
