The Game

This case is located at Jinggang Mountains which is the revolutionary base of Communist Party of China. There are a great deal of visitors and CPC members gather for training in this area every year. Different from common souvenir shops of most tourist sites, our client hope to incorporate the functions of exhibitions, tourist information, cultural and creative products sell, catering, DIY experience, and training courses to create a new business model.

Yanlan

Located in Meitan, Guizhou, Yanlan Resort Hotel is transformed from a dozen of dilapidated farmhouses scattered in a natural village. The hotel lies deep in the beautiful mountains and waters in northern Guizhou. The project begins with the transformation of the old peasant house, sorts the space between the houses and demolishes and expanding some old houses into restaurants and venues for the gatherings of the guests.

ParkUp

With issues on city development nowadays, ParkUp series projects has decided to focus on renovating vacant lots throughout cities by conducting customized spatial experiments and turns them into creative open spaces. ParkUp follows 3 design principles (under 165 sqm, inclusive design, localization) and is supported by a set of modular assembling system (ParkUp Tools). Currently there are 3 pieces of work accomplished, from a fitness-oriented park (ParkUp GT), to a children’s playground (ParkUp DT) and a multifunctional design pavilion (ParkUp SYC).

Roofjar

An open terrace has its own unique challenges and its own unique charm. Based in a boutique hotel this terrace was designed to be a unique experience of covered semi covered and open experience. Flanked by a water body on one side and open farmland on the other side the design had to capture all the views and make the guest feel homely and comfortable.

In the Arena

This project is to design the inaugural ‘In the Arena Award’ presented to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in November 2018 at The University of Texas at Austin. Team of ten design students from wkrm design under the creative direction from the professor, worked together to conceptualize the award to recognize those who have dedicated their lives to public service. The physical award and its case, overall branding, promotional collateral, and letterpressed program and citation were designed and fabricated by students team in-house.
